RFID vs. Barcodes

When describing RFID it is easy to fall into the trap of comparing the technology to barcodes. Obviously RFID can help identify an item, trasmit information, and even help us pay tolls (ala EZ Pass), but finally someone has spelled out the additional uses of RFID beyond those one might initially think of.
